I was among the sons of the Persian cavalry commanders. He then mentioned the hadith, saying, I traveled, with the land lifting me up at times and lowering me at others, until I passed by a group of Bedouins who took me as a slave and sold me. Eventually a woman bought me. I heard them mentioning the Prophet ﷺ, and food was scarce at the time.I said to her, "Grant me a day off."She replied, "Yes."So I went out, gathered firewood, sold it, and prepared some food. I brought it to the Prophet ﷺ and placed it before him.He asked, "What is this?"I answered, "Charity."He told his companions, "Eat," but he himself did not eat. I said to myself, this is one of his signs. Then I remained as long as Allah willed, after which I said to my mistress, "Grant me a day off."She replied, "Yes."So I went out, gathered more firewood than before, prepared some food, and brought it to him while he was sitting among his companions. I placed it before him.He asked, "What is this?"I answered, "A gift."He extended his hand and said to his companions, "Take, in the name of Allah." I stood behind him, and he laid aside his cloak, and there was the seal of prophethood.I said, "I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah."He asked, "How is that?"So I told him about the man and said, "Will he enter Paradise, Messenger of Allah? He told me that you are a prophet."He replied, "None will enter Paradise except a Muslim soul."I said, "Messenger of Allah, he informed me that you are a prophet. Will he enter Paradise?"He replied, "None will enter Paradise except a Muslim soul."
Its chain is sahih, Allah willing. Abu Qurra Kindi is Salama bin Muawiya, father of Amr bin Abu Qurra. Ibn Hajar denied this in Tajil, saying he does not agree with Haythami and Iraqi on that point. But I support them both, for it is recorded this way in Tabarani's Al-Kabir 6/259, no. 6155, in Ibn Hibban 558, no. 2255, and in Abu Naeem's Hilyah 1/190.
