The Prophet ﷺ said, "No man bathes on Friday, purifies himself as best he can, applies oil from his oil or touches some of the perfume of his house, then proceeds to the mosque without separating two people, then prays whatever Allah has decreed for him, then listens attentively when the imam speaks, except that he is forgiven for what is between that Friday and the next."
حدثنا حجاج بن محمد حدثنا ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد المقبري قال أخبرني أبي عن عبد الله بن وديعة
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال لا يغتسل رجل يوم الجمعة ويتطهر بما استطاع من طهر ويدهن من دهنه أو يمس من طيب بيته ثم يروح إلى المسجد فلا يفرق بين اثنين ثم يصلي ما كتب الله له ثم ينصت للإمام إذا تكلم إلا غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abdullah bin Rabia had companionship with the Prophet, though this is disputed. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 2/370, no. 883, in Fath al-Bari, in the book of Friday prayer, and by Nasai, 3/104, no. 1403, also in the book of Friday prayer, and by Darimi, 1/435, no. 1541, in the book of prayer, on the merit of Friday.
