The Prophet ﷺ would accept a gift but would not accept charity.Abdullah said, Ali bin Hakeem also narrated this to us, saying that Sharik informed them, from Ubayd the teacher, from Abu Tufayl, from Salman, who said, The Prophet ﷺ would accept a gift but would not accept charity.
حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق أخبرنا شريك عن عبيد المكتب عن أبي الطفيل عن سلمان قال كان النبي ﷺ يقبل الهدية ولا يقبل الصدقة قال عبد الله وحدثناه علي بن حكيم أخبرنا شريك عن عبيد المكتب بإسناده نحوه
