The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had wiped his hand over his face. He met the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "They used to forbid me from kissing during fasting, fearing that I would be drawn to more than that. Now the Muslims today forbid it as well, and one of them says that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a measure of protection from Allah that no one else possesses."
حدثنا حجاج حدثنا ليث يعني ابن سعد حدثني عقيل عن ابن شهاب
وكان رسول الله ﷺ قد مسح على وجهه وأدرك أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ قال كانوا ينهوني عن القبلة تخوفا أن أتقرب لأكثر منها ثم المسلمون اليوم ينهون عنها ويقول قائلهم إن رسول الله ﷺ كان له من حفظ الله ما ليس لأحد
Its isnad is sahih, and the prohibition against kissing for a fasting person is well known in Sahihayn. It will come later from Ayesha. Haythami mentioned the hadith in 3/165 and said, "The men of Ahmad's narration are the men of the sahih."
