His father was one of the people of the Suffah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave instructions concerning them, so each man went off taking one man or two with him, until I was left as one of five. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Come along."So we went with him to Ayesha's house, and he said, "Ayesha, give us something to eat."She brought some greens and we ate. Then she brought a dish of dates and butter about the size of a sandgrouse, and we ate that too.Then he said, "Ayesha, give us something to drink."She brought a large bowl and we drank from it. Then she brought a small cup with milk in it and we drank that as well.Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you wish, you may spend the night here, or if you wish, you may go off to the masjid."We said, "No, we will go to the masjid."He said, While I was in the masjid, lying on my stomach, a man began nudging me with his foot and said, "This is a way of lying down that Allah detests."I looked up, and it was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
