The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not lawful for any person to take his brother's property without right, for Allah has made the property of one Muslim unlawful to another Muslim."Ubayd bin Abu Qurra reported that Sulayman narrated, Suhayl bin Abu Salih told me that Abdul-Rahman bin Saeed reported from Abu Humayd al-Saidi that the Prophet ﷺ said, "It is not lawful for a man to take his brother's stick without his willing consent," because of how strictly the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited one Muslim's property to another Muslim.
حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم حدثنا سليمان بن بلال عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن عبد الرحمن بن سعيد
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يحل لامرئ أن يأخذ مال أخيه بغير حقه وذلك لما حرم الله مال المسلم على المسلم وقال عبيد بن أبي قرة حدثنا سليمان حدثني سهيل بن أبي صالح حدثني عبد الرحمن بن سعيد عن أبي حميد الساعدي أن النبي ﷺ قال لا يحل للرجل أن يأخذ عصا أخيه بغير طيب نفسه وذلك لشدة ما حرم رسول الله ﷺ من مال المسلم على المسلم
Its isnad is sahih. Abdul-Rahman bin Saad is Ibn Malik bin Sinan Ansari, a trustworthy narrator, whose hadith appears in Muslim and the four Sunan compilers. This hadith, with this wording, was narrated solely by Ahmad.
