The Messenger of Allah ﷺ presented one hundred camels as sacrificial offerings during the Farewell Pilgrimage. He slaughtered thirty of them with his own hand, then ordered Ali to slaughter the rest.He said, "Distribute their meat, their saddle-cloths, and their hides among the people, but do not give the butcher any portion of them as payment. Take for us a piece of meat from each camel and place it all in a single pot so that we may eat from the meat and sip from the broth."Ali did as he was instructed.
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق قال حدثني رجل عن عبد الله بن أبي نجيح عن مجاهد بن جبر
أهدى رسول الله ﷺ في حجة الوداع مائة بدنة نحر منها ثلاثين بدنة بيده ثم أمر عليا فنحر ما بقي منها وقال اقسم لحومها وجلالها وجلودها بين الناس ولا تعطين جزارا منها شيئا وخذ لنا من كل بعير حذية من لحم ثم اجعلها في قدر واحدة حتى نأكل من لحمها ونحسو من مرقها ففعل
Its chain of transmission is daif, because the teacher of Ibn Ishaq is unnamed. It appears in Majma al-Zawaid 3:225-226, where it is attributed to the Musnad and faulted for this same reason.
