He reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not face the qiblah when relieving yourselves or urinating, but turn toward the east or the west."Abu Ayub said, "When we came to Sham, we found that the latrines had been built facing the qiblah, so we would turn away from it and seek Allah's forgiveness."
حدثنا سفيان عن الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي سمعت
يخبر عن النبي ﷺ قال لا تستقبلوا القبلة بغائط ولا بول ولكن شرقوا أو غربوا قال أبو أيوب فقدمنا الشام فوجدنا مراحيض جعلت نحو القبلة فننحرف ونستغفر الله
