The Prophet of Allah ﷺ came toward them in haste, so much so that his speed alarmed us. When he reached us, he said, "I came hurrying to inform you about Laylat al-Qadr, but it was made to slip from my memory between me and you. So seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan."
حدثنا عبيدة حدثني قابوس عن أبي ظبيان
أن نبي الله ﷺ أقبل إليهم مسرعا قال حتى أفزعنا من سرعته فلما انتهى إلينا قال جئت مسرعا أخبركم بليلة القدر فأنسيتها بيني وبينكم ولكن التمسوها في العشر الأواخر من رمضان

Its isnad is sahih. It is in Majma al-Zawaid 3:178, but he did not quote it in full, and he said, "Tabarani related it in Kabir, and there is discussion about him, though he has been deemed trustworthy." This statement is incomplete, and it appears something dropped out in printing. What he means to say is, "and it contains Qabus bin Abu Dhubyan, and there is discussion about him, though he has been deemed trustworthy." The author of Zawaid said something similar about Qabus previously at 2333. Qabus is trustworthy, as we said at 1946. See also 2002, 2149, and 2302.
