Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever makes a pledge to his brother with no intention of fulfilling it is like one who lowers his neighbor down to a place where there is no protection."

حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا حجاج عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن أبيه

عن حذيفة قال

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من شرط لأخيه شرطا لا يريد أن يفي له به فهو كالمدلي جاره إلى غير منعة
