The Prophet ﷺ was asked. The questioner said, "Messenger of Allah, what is a truce upon smoldering embers?"He replied, "Hearts that will not return to what they once were."

عن النبي ﷺ قال قلت يا رسول الله ما هدنة على دخن قال قلوب لا تعود على ما كانت
