We were with Saeed bin al-As in Tabaristan when he asked, "Which of you remembers the prayer of fear performed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Hudhayfah replied, "I do." So he led us in prayer. We formed one row behind him and another row facing the enemy. He led those nearest to him in one rakah, then they moved to take the position of the other group, and the other group came forward, and he led them in one rakah. Then he gave the salam to them.

كنا مع سعيد بن العاص بطبرستان فقال أيكم يحفظ صلاة الخوف مع رسول الله ﷺ فقال حذيفة أمنا فقمنا صفا خلفه وصفا موازي العدو فصلى بالذين يلونه ركعة ثم ذهبوا إلى مصاف أولئك وجاء أولئك فصلى بهم ركعة ثم سلم عليهم
