The Prophet ﷺ said, "The merit of a house close to the mosque over a house far from it is like the merit of the warrior who fights over the one who stays behind."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد حدثنا حيوة حدثني بكر بن عمرو أن أبا عبد الملك علي بن يزيد الدمشقي حدثه أنه بلغه
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال إن فضل الدار القريبة يعني من المسجد على الدار البعيدة كفضل الغازي على القاعد
Its isnad is daif due to Ali bin Yazid Alhani Dimashqi, Abu Abdul-Malik, and due to its being disconnected. We had previously graded it as hasan, but that was in the context of corroborating narrations. Here, however, he did not connect it, nor did anyone corroborate him in it. The hadith itself has already appeared at 23180.
