Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

I had a sharp tongue with my family, so I said, "Messenger of Allah, I fear that my tongue may cast me into the Fire."He replied, "Where are you in regard to seeking forgiveness? I myself ask Allah for forgiveness a hundred times a day."Abu Ishaq said, I mentioned this to Abu Burda, and he added, "and I turn to Him in repentance."

عن حذيفة قال

كنت رجلا ذرب اللسان على أهلي فقلت يا رسول الله قد خشيت أن يدخلني لساني النار قال فأين أنت من الاستغفار إني لأستغفر الله في اليوم مائة قال أبو إسحاق ذكرته لأبي بردة فقال وأتوب إليه
