Huzaifa bin Yaman reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was absent from us one day. He did not come out for so long that we thought he would not come out at all. When he finally emerged, he prostrated, and the prostration lasted so long that we thought his soul had been taken in it.When he raised his head, he said, "My Lord تبارك وتعالى consulted me about my ummah, asking what I would have Him do with them. I said, 'Whatever You will, my Lord. They are Your creation and Your servants.' He consulted me a second time, and I gave Him the same answer. Then He said, 'I will not grieve you concerning your ummah, Muhammad,' and He gave me the good news that the first of my ummah to enter Paradise will be seventy thousand, with every thousand accompanied by seventy thousand more, and no reckoning will be taken from them. Then He sent a messenger to me who said, 'Call upon Him and you will be answered. Ask and you will be given.'I said to His messenger, 'Will my Lord truly grant me what I ask?'He replied, 'He has sent me to you only to give to you.'My Lord عز وجل has indeed granted me, and I say this without boasting, that He has forgiven me my past and future sins while I still walk among you alive and well. He has granted me that my ummah will not go hungry and will not be overcome. He has granted me al-Kawthar, a river of Paradise that flows into my pool. He has granted me honor, victory, and a terror that runs ahead of my ummah by a month's distance. He has granted me that I will be the first of the prophets to enter Paradise. He has made spoils of war lawful and good for me and for my ummah, and He has made permissible for us much of what was made strict upon those before us, and He has placed no hardship upon us."
