I asked Ammar, "Tell me, this course of action you took regarding the affair of Ali, was it an opinion you formed yourselves, or something the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entrusted to you?"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not entrust anything to us that he did not entrust to people in general. However, Hudhayfah informed me that the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Among my companions are twelve hypocrites. Eight of them will not enter Paradise until a camel passes through the eye of a needle.'"
حدثنا أسود بن عامر حدثنا شعبة عن قتادة عن أبي نضرة
قلت لعمار أرأيتم صنيعكم هذا الذي صنعتم فيما كان من أمر علي رأيا رأيتموه أم شيئا عهد إليكم رسول الله ﷺ فقال لم يعهد إلينا رسول الله ﷺ شيئا لم يعهده إلى الناس كافة ولكن حذيفة أخبرني عن النبي ﷺ قال في أصحابي اثنا عشر منافقا منهم ثمانية لا يدخلون الجنة حتى يلج الجمل في سم الخياط
