I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not drink from vessels of gold or silver, and do not wear silk or brocade, for these belong to them in this world and they will be yours in the hereafter."
حدثنا يحيى بن عبد الملك بن أبي غنية حدثنا أبي عن الحكم عن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ليلى
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تشربوا في الذهب ولا في الفضة ولا تلبسوا الحرير والديباج فإنها لهم في الدنيا وهي لكم في الآخرة
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abdul-Malik bin Abu Ghunyah is trustworthy, his hadith appears in Sahihayn, and he is attributed to his grandfather's name. His father, Humayd bin Abu Ghunyah, has his hadith recorded by the Jamaah, and he is among the well-known trustworthy narrators. The hadith has already appeared at 23162.
