We came to Hudhayfah and said, "Guide us to the person who most closely resembles the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his manner, conduct, and disposition, so that we may learn from him and listen to him."He replied, "The person who most closely resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in his manner, conduct, and bearing was Ibn Umm Abd, from the moment he set out until he disappeared from my sight into his home. The discerning among the companions of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, knew well that Ibn Umm Abd was among those nearest to Allah in rank."

أتينا حذيفة فقلنا دلنا على أقرب الناس برسول الله ﷺ هديا وسمتا وولاء نأخذ عنه ونسمع منه فقال كان أقرب الناس برسول الله ﷺ هديا وسمتا ودلا ابن أم عبد حتى يتوارى عني في بيته ولقد علم المحفوظون من أصحاب محمد عليه الصلاة والسلام أن ابن أم عبد من أقربهم إلى الله زلفة
