Its chain of transmission is sahih. Rabia bint Ayyad al-Kilabiyyah is trustworthy, known by the kunya Umm Khuthaym. She was deemed trustworthy by Ajli and Ibn Hibban. The hadith is a stopped narration (mawquf) attributed to Ali, and Haythami also graded it sahih in 5/45 and 96.
