The Prophet ﷺ said, "Horses are of three kinds. A horse that a man tethers in the cause of Allah the Exalted, its price is a reward, riding it is a reward, lending it is a reward, and feeding it is a reward. A horse that a man uses to compete and gamble, its price is a sin, feeding it is a sin, and riding it is a sin. And a horse kept for breeding, perhaps it will serve as a safeguard against poverty, if Allah the Exalted wills."
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو حدثنا زائدة حدثنا الركين بن الربيع بن عميلة عن أبي عمرو الشيباني
عن النبي ﷺ قال الخيل ثلاثة فرس يربطه الرجل في سبيل الله تعالى فثمنه أجر وركوبه أجر وعاريته أجر وعلفه أجر وفرس يغالق عليها الرجل ويراهن فثمنه وزر وعلفه وزر وركوبه وزر وفرس للبطنة فعسى أن يكون سدادا من الفقر إن شاء الله تعالى
