The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a slave-woman is freed while she is married to a slave, the matter is in her own hands. If she allows him to have intercourse with her, then she remains his wife and has no power to separate from him."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إذا أعتقت الأمة وهي تحت العبد فأمرها بيدها فإن هي أقرت حتى يطأها فهي امرأته لا تستطيع فراقه
