The Prophet ﷺ prayed wrapped in a single garment, draping its loose end across himself to shield against the heat and cold of the ground.
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد قال عبد الله بن أحمد وسمعته أنا منه عن شريك عن حسين عن عكرمة
أن النبي ﷺ صلى في ثوب واحد متوشحا به يتقي بفضوله حر الأرض وبردها
Its isnad is daif. Husayn is the son of Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abbas, and he is daif, as previously mentioned at 39. The hadith is in Majma al-Zawaid 2:48, where it says, Ahmad, Abu Yaala, and Tabarani in al-Kabir and al-Awsat narrated it, and Ahmad's narrators are the narrators of the Sahih! This is an error on his part, for this Husayn was never among the narrators of the Sahih, nor did either of the two authors of the Sahihayn narrate from him.
