He used to narrate from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother in this world, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection."So he traveled to him in Egypt and asked him about the hadith.He replied, "Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother in this world, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.'"He said, "And I too have heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا مؤمل بن إسماعيل أبو عبد الرحمن حدثنا حماد حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمير عن منيب عن عمه قال بلغ رجلا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ
أنه يحدث عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال من ستر أخاه المسلم في الدنيا ستره الله يوم القيامة فرحل إليه وهو بمصر فسأله عن الحديث قال نعم سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من ستر أخاه المسلم في الدنيا ستره الله يوم القيامة قال فقال وأنا قد سمعته من رسول الله ﷺ
