A man who had served the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for eight or nine years related that whenever food was brought near the Prophet ﷺ, he would say, "In the name of Allah." And when he finished his meal he would say, "You have fed and given drink, You have enriched and provided, You have guided and chosen. All praise belongs to You for what You have given."
حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن حدثنا سعيد يعني ابن أبي أيوب حدثني بكر بن عمرو عن عبد الله بن هبيرة
أنه حدثه رجل خدم رسول الله ﷺ ثمان سنين أو تسع سنين أنه سمع النبي ﷺ إذا قرب له طعام يقول بسم الله فإذا فرغ من طعامه قال أطعمت وأسقيت وأغنيت وأقنيت وهديت واجتبيت فلك الحمد على ما أعطيت
