A man from the Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned the matter to him, saying, "I have a protector here among Quraysh, both on my way there and on my way back."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Pray right here."The man repeated his statement, and each time the Prophet ﷺ told him, "Pray right here." He said it a third time, and again received the same reply. Then he said it a fourth time.So the Prophet ﷺ said, "Go and pray there, then. But by the One who sent Muhammad with the truth, had you prayed right here, it would have counted for you as every prayer offered in Bayt al-Maqdis."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرني يوسف بن الحكم بن أبي سفيان أن حفص بن عمر بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف وعمرو بن حنة أخبراه عن عمر بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف عن رجل من الأنصار من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ أن رجلا من الأنصار جاء إلى النبي ﷺ فذكره وقال هاهنا في قريش خفير لي مقبلا ومدبرا فقال هاهنا فصل فذكر معناه
