He was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey when he relieved himself. Water was brought to him, and he poured some from the vessel onto his hand and washed it once, then washed his face once, then his forearms once, and washed his feet once using both his hands together. In his account, he added that his thumb was wrapped around them.
