ﷺ said, "The poor among the believers will enter Paradise four hundred years before the wealthy among them."The narrator said, "I remarked that Hasan mentions forty years."He replied, "From the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, from the Prophet ﷺ, it is four hundred years, until the wealthy man says, 'If only I had been destitute.'"We said, "Messenger of Allah, name them for us by their names."He answered, "They are the ones who, when something unpleasant arises, are sent to face it, and when there is spoil to be gained, others are sent for it instead of them. They are the ones turned away at the doors."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن زيد أبي الحواري
ﷺ أنه قال يدخل فقراء المؤمنين الجنة قبل أغنيائهم بأربع مائة عام قال فقلت إن الحسن يذكر أربعين عاما فقال عن أصحاب النبي ﷺ عن النبي ﷺ أربع مائة عام قال حتى يقول الغني يا ليتني كنت عيلا قال قلنا يا رسول الله سمهم لنا بأسمائهم قال هم الذين إذا كان مكروه بعثوا له وإذا كان مغنم بعث إليه سواهم وهم الذين يحجبون عن الأبواب
