The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the dawn prayer and recited Surah ar-Rum during it, but his recitation became confused. When he finished the prayer, he said, "What is the matter with some men who attend the prayer with us without being properly purified? They are the ones who cause our recitation to become confused. Whoever attends the prayer with us, let him perform his purification well."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا سفيان عن عبد الملك بن عمير عن شبيب أبي روح
صلى رسول الله ﷺ الفجر فقرأ فيهما بالروم فالتبس عليه في القراءة فلما صلى قال ما بال رجال يحضرون معنا الصلاة بغير طهور أولئك الذين يلبسون علينا صلاتنا من شهد معنا الصلاة فليحسن الطهور
