Burayda reported,

The Prophet ﷺ used to perform ablution before every prayer. On the day of the Conquest, however, he performed ablution, wiped over his leather socks, and prayed all the prayers with a single ablution.Umar said to him, "Messenger of Allah, you have done something you did not used to do."He replied, "I did it deliberately, Umar."

عن سليمان بن بريدة عن أبيه قال

كان النبي ﷺ يتوضأ عند كل صلاة فلما كان يوم الفتح توضأ ومسح على خفيه وصلى الصلوات بوضوء واحد فقال له عمر يا رسول الله إنك فعلت شيئا لم تكن تفعله قال إني عمدا فعلت يا عمر
