The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to a man who came to him, "Go, for the one who guides to good is like the one who does it."

Its chain is sahih, it preceded at 22260. Ishaq bin Yusuf is excused for deliberately not mentioning Abu Hanifa, since differences of opinion can lead to this. Every son of Adam makes mistakes. But it is not permissible for us to blindly follow them in what they did, for they are imams and have their own standing, while we do not weigh so much as the dust of their shoes. In our own time a group of people has emerged who overstep their bounds, not only against Abu Hanifa but against all four imams. They overstep in a filthy manner, concealing behind it an intention to abolish the schools of jurisprudence so that they may establish a school for themselves. But how can dust establish itself? "As for the scum, it passes away as foam" [Rad 13:17]. The greatest proof that they are in the wrong is that they claim the followers of the schools are blind imitators, and that a blind imitator is not a believer, while they themselves follow their own shaykhs with a blind following like one who worships idols. Yet if you were to say about their shaykhs even a tenth of what they say about the imams, they would declare you an unbeliever and permit your blood to be shed.
