I was traveling with Burayda al-Aslami when he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'The best of this nation is the generation among whom I was sent, then those who follow them, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. After that, there will come a people whose testimony precedes their oaths and whose oaths precede their testimony.'"Affan once said, "The generation among whom I was sent, then those who follow them, then those who follow them, then those who follow them, then those who follow them."
