The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sanctity of the wives of those who fight in Allah's cause, compared to those who stay behind, is like the sanctity of their own mothers. There is no man who stays behind, taking the place of a fighter in caring for his family, and then betrays him regarding his family, except that on the Day of Resurrection that fighter will be made to stand before him, and it will be said, 'This man betrayed you concerning your family, so take whatever you wish from his good deeds.'"Then he said, "So what do you think?"
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن ليث عن علقمة بن مرثد
قال رسول الله ﷺ فضل نساء المجاهدين على القاعدين في الحرمة كفضل أمهاتهم وما من قاعد يخلف مجاهدا في أهله فيخبب في أهله إلا وقف له يوم القيامة قيل له إن هذا خانك في أهلك فخذ من عمله ما شئت قال فما ظنكم
