The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The noble standing that the people of this world pursue is this wealth."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب حدثني حسين بن واقد حدثني
قال رسول الله ﷺ إن أحساب أهل الدنيا الذي يذهبون إليه هذا المال
Its isnad is sahih, and Hakim likewise graded it sahih (2/163), and Dhahabi agreed with him. It is also found in Nasai (6/64, no. 3225) and Bayhaqi (7/135), both in the chapter on marriage.
