I and a boy from Banu Hashim passed by on a donkey, and we left it to eat from some greens in front of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, yet he did not turn away. Then two young girls came running until they took hold of the knees of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and still he did not turn away.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن يحيى بن الجزار أن
مررت أنا وغلام من بني هاشم على حمار وتركناه يأكل من بقل بين يدي رسول الله ﷺ فلم ينصرف وجاءت جاريتان تشتدان حتى أخذتا بركبتي رسول الله ﷺ فلم ينصرف
Its chain of transmission is sahih, and it is a repetition of 2258. "Tashtaddan" means they run and race, and "shadd" means running.
