The Prophet ﷺ went out for the dawn prayer while Ibn al-Qashb was praying. The Prophet ﷺ tapped his shoulder and said, "Ibn al-Qashb, are you praying the dawn prayer as four or as two?" Ibn Jurayj is the one who was uncertain.
قال عبد الله وجدت في كتاب أبي بخط يده حدثنا محمد بن بكر أخبرنا ابن جريج أخبرني جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ خرج لصلاة الصبح وابن القشب يصلي فضرب النبي ﷺ منكبه وقال يا ابن القشب تصلي الصبح أربعا أو مرتين ابن جريج يشك
