The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The gravest form of misappropriation in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection is a cubit of land lying between two men, or between two partners in a house. When they divide it up and one of them steals from his companion a cubit of land, he will be made to wear it as a collar reaching down through seven earths."And he said, "If he does that, it will be fastened around his neck from seven earths."
