The people were instructed to place the right hand over the left during prayer.Abu Hazim said, "I only know this to be traced back."Abu Abdul-Rahman explained that "traced back" means he raises it to the Prophet ﷺ.

كان الناس يؤمرون أن يضعوا اليمنى على اليسرى في الصلاة قال أبو حازم ولا أعلم إلا ينمي ذلك قال أبو عبد الرحمن ينمي يرفعه إلى النبي ﷺ
