Abdullah bin Abbad al-Zuraqi reported that he used to catch sparrows at the well of Abu Ihab, which belonged to his family. Ubada saw me after I had caught a sparrow, so he snatched it from me and let it go, saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared the area between its two lava tracts a sanctuary, just as Ibrahim made Makkah a sanctuary." Ubada was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ.

أن عبد الله بن عباد الزرقي أخبره أنه كان يصيد العصافير في بئر أبي إهاب وكانت لهم فرآني عبادة وقد أخذت العصفور فانتزعه مني وأرسله وقال إن رسول الله ﷺ حرم ما بين لابتيها كما حرم إبراهيم مكة وكان عبادة من أصحاب النبي ﷺ
