Ubada reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sets out to fight in the path of Allah intending nothing from his expedition except to gain a rope for tying a camel, he shall have only what he intended."Bahz said in his narration, Jabala bin Atiya narrated to us from Yahya bin Walid bin Ubada.

حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي وبهز قالا حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن جبلة بن عطية عن ابن الوليد بن عبادة بن الصامت

عن جده عبادة قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ من غزا في سبيل الله تبارك وتعالى ولا ينوي في غزاته إلا عقالا فله ما نوى قال بهز في حديثه حدثنا جبلة بن عطية عن يحيى بن الوليد بن عبادة
