He narrated to them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no soul on earth that dies and has goodness with Allah which would wish to return to you, except the one who is killed." Rawh's version says, "except the one slain in the path of Allah, for he wishes to return and be killed once more."

حدثهم أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما على الأرض من نفس تموت ولها عند الله تبارك وتعالى خير تحب أن ترجع إليكم إلا المقتول وقال روح إلا القتيل في سبيل الله فإنه يحب أن يرجع فيقتل مرة أخرى
Its isnad is sahih. The wording of the chain might give the impression that it is disconnected, but Ibn Jurayj's hearing from Sulayman bin Musa Ashdaq is established, and it is so recorded in Muslim. The hadith has already appeared with similar wording at 13966.
