The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A group from my nation will surely consume wine, calling it by some other name they give it."
Its isnad is sahih. Thabit bin Samt was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Hibban among the Successors, while the others remained silent about him, and in Taqrib he said he was trustworthy. Saeed bin Aws the scribe is trustworthy, having narrated for the four (compilers) and for Bukhari in Adab, and exactly the same applies to Bilal bin Yahya Absi. Haythami said in 2/75, "Thabit Samt is obscure, and the rest of the narrators are trustworthy." It is found in Ibn Majah, 2/1123, number 3385.
