When revelation descended upon the Prophet ﷺ, it would weigh heavily on him and his face would darken. Once it had passed, he said, "Take from me, take from me," three times. "Allah has now appointed a way for them. The previously married with the previously married, and the virgin with the virgin. For the previously married, one hundred lashes and stoning. For the virgin, one hundred lashes and banishment for a year."

أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا نزل عليه الوحي كرب له وتربد وجهه وإذا سري عنه قال خذوا عني خذوا عني ثلاث مرار قد جعل الله لهن سبيلا الثيب بالثيب والبكر بالبكر الثيب جلد مائة والرجم والبكر جلد مائة ونفي سنة
