He narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the two rak'ahs of Dhuhr the Opening of the Book and another surah, lengthening the first two rak'ahs, and he did the same in Asr, sometimes letting us hear a verse.

أو حدثنا أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقرأ بالركعتين من الظهر بفاتحة الكتاب وسورة ويطيل في الأوليين وفي العصر مثل ذلك ويسمعنا الآية أحيانا
