He was present when the Prophet ﷺ prayed over a deceased person, and he heard him say, "Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those of us present and those absent, our young and our old, our males and our females."He said, Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman also related these eight phrases to me, and he added two more, "Whomever of us You keep alive, keep him alive in Islam, and whomever of us You take, take him in faith."
