A funeral bier was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for him to pray over.He asked, "Does he owe any debt?"They replied, "Yes, two Dinars."He asked, "Did he leave behind anything to cover them?"They said, "No."He said, "Then pray over your companion yourselves."Abu Qatada said, "They are upon me, Messenger of Allah."So the Prophet ﷺ prayed over him.

أتي رسول الله ﷺ بجنازة يصلي عليها فقال أعليه دين قالوا نعم ديناران فقال ترك لهما وفاء قالوا لا قال فصلوا على صاحبكم فقال أبو قتادة هما علي يا رسول الله فصلى عليه النبي ﷺ
