I myself heard from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abu Shayba, who said, Muslim the freedman of Khalid bin Arfata narrated to us that Khalid bin Arfata said about al-Mukhtar, "This man is a liar. I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Whoever lies about me deliberately, let him take his seat in Hellfire.'"

وسمعت أنا من عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي شيبة يعني حدثنا مسلم مولى خالد بن عرفطة أن خالد بن عرفطة قال للمختار هذا رجل كذاب ولقد سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول من كذب علي متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من جهنم
Its isnad is daif, due to the unknown status of Muslim, the freed slave of Khalid. The hadith is from the mutawatir (widely transmitted) reports, and has already come before. See 16856 and its cross-references.
