Ibn Hawala Azdi reported,

One of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "There will be organized armies, one in Sham, one in Yemen, and one in Iraq, and Allah knows best with which He will begin. Hold fast to Sham, indeed, hold fast to Sham, indeed, hold fast to Sham. Whoever dislikes that, let him go to his Yemen and drink from its pools, for Allah has guaranteed me Sham and its people."

وكان من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال سيكون أجناد مجندة شام ويمن وعراق والله أعلم بأيها بدأ وعليكم بالشام ألا وعليكم بالشام ألا وعليكم بالشام فمن كره فعليه بيمنه وليسق في غدره فإن الله عز وجل توكل لي بالشام وأهله
