The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Quraysh, "This authority will continue to remain among you, and you will be its custodians, unless you commit evil deeds. If you do so, Allah will set the worst of His creation upon you, and they will strip you bare as a stick is stripped of its bark."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لقريش إن هذا الأمر لا يزال فيكم وأنتم ولاته حتى تحدثوا أعمالا فإذا فعلتم ذلك سلط الله عليكم شرار خلقه فالتحوكم كما يلتحى القضيب
