Jurayy reported, "I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while I was wearing a gold ring. He took a palm branch and struck my palm with it, saying, 'Throw it away.' So I went out and threw it away. Then I returned to him, and he asked, 'What did you do with the ring?'I replied, 'I threw it away.'He said, 'I only commanded you to make use of it, not to throw it away.'"
حدثنا علي بن عاصم حدثنا حصين
دخلت على النبي ﷺ وعلي خاتم من ذهب فأخذ جريدة فضرب بها كفي وقال اطرحه قال فخرجت فطرحته ثم عدت إليه فقال ما فعل الخاتم قال قلت طرحته قال إنما أمرتك أن تستمتع به ولا تطرحه
