The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed ablution. He washed his face three times, washed each of his hands three times, and wiped over his head. He said, "The ears are part of the head."Hammad said, "I do not know whether this statement is from Abu Umama or from the Prophet ﷺ."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wipe over his leather socks.
حدثنا يونس حدثنا حماد يعني ابن زيد عن سنان بن ربيعة عن شهر بن حوشب
أن رسول الله ﷺ توضأ فغسل وجهه ثلاثا ويديه ثلاثا ثلاثا ومسح برأسه وقال الأذنان من الرأس قال حماد فلا أدري من قول أبي أمامة أو من قول النبي ﷺ وكان رسول الله ﷺ يمسح على الموقين
